As a young doctor, John was unable to narrow his career options until he was inspired by a rotation in Paediatric Emergency to train simultaneously in Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics.  He still hasn’t decided what to do when he grows up and is passing the time until this happens by working as an Emergency Medicine Consultant at Flinders Medical Centre, a Paediatric Emergency Physician at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and a Paediatric Retrieval Consultant at MedSTAR kids.

In his copious spare time, John gardens, swims, directs PLS courses, tries to occasionally read the literature, especially in relation to medical education, and juggles multiple patient care improvement projects.  He has an anecdote for most occasions.
