Shahina Braganza and Una Harrington

This interactive workshop will begin by legitimising the Wellness agenda for healthcare professionals – as being no longer just “the soft stuff” in the clinical workplace, but to being “the solid core stuff” when it comes to healthcare delivery and outcomes. It will then present current thinking and trends in workplace wellness programs, and invite participants to explore their own local factors such as need for a wellness strategy and anticipated barriers and myths. From here, participants will be provided with a suite of tools including data and experience to be leveraged, tangible resources to be used within their workplaces, and a simple How-to-get-started guide.  Wellness-based activity will be embedded into the workshop to allow participants to experience how simple this can be.  The workshop objective is to equip participants with the knowledge and means to start the Wellness conversation in their own workplace.
