This workshop will give attendees an appreciation of the multiple ways in which an ECG can suggest myocardial ischaemia.
It will cover STEMI-equivalents, interpretation of ST segment elevation, and include those ECG findings which can cause interpreters to consider ischaemia but which are in fact caused by alternate pathology.
It is open to all 3 professions and will assume a moderate level of baseline knowledge of ECG interpretation.
Dr Herman Chua is a senior Emergency Medicine consultant at the Lyell McEwin Hospital ED. He is the Director of Emergency Medicine Training at this site and is also an examiner with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. He regularly runs a number of clinical education courses on topics including ECGs and emergency imaging.
