Natalie May graduated from the University of Manchester in 2005 and trained in the UK in Emergency Medicine with Paediatric Emergency Medicine. She worked as a consultant (specialist) in both Manchester and Oxford until 2016 when she moved to Australia. She is a FACEM working as a Staff Specialist in Prehospital and Retrieval Medicine for Sydney HEMS. She also works in the Emergency Department in some of Sydney’s hospitals and has a casual contract with NETS (Neonatal and paediatric Emergency Transport Service).
Natalie’s main non-clinical interest is medical education: she has been an editorial board member and contributor to the St Emlyn’s blog and podcast since 2012.
She is a member of the SMACC organising committee and part of the international faculty of the Teaching Cooperative (www.theteachingcoop.com). She has spoken internationally on topics from medical education to paediatric trauma.
She lives with her husband in Sydney, is obsessed with running, drinks a lot of tea and loves karaoke.
